Before becoming a lawyer, David worked as an occupational therapist in both Canada and the United States. He saw first-hand the struggles, frustrations and sense of defeat injured people experience in dealing with insurance companies. It was during this time that David discovered his passion for advocating for his clients, and helping them navigate the insurance claims and legal process. David left his practice as an occupational therapist and returned to law school with the goal of becoming a personal injury lawyer.
After graduating from Dalhousie University’s Schulich School of Law, David practiced law at two large law firms and has worked in association with Cantini Law Group since 2006.
David has represented hundreds of people in personal injury and disability insurance cases. He is a passionate advocate for his clients and won a precedent-setting court case, which has extended accident benefits for all Nova Scotians injured in car accidents.
David is a frequent speaker at personal injury and insurance law conferences and is a regular contributor to the Lawyer’s Weekly Newspaper, personal injury edition.
David is based in Moncton, New Brunswick, but represents clients all over Nova Scotia and Prince Edward Island. David has an office in Charlottetown and is on Prince Edward Island every month.
